ABOUT
A splash of curiosity,
A dash of analytical logic,
A lashing of creativity,
A lick of attention to detail,
=
A jack of all trades, master(ing)…
some…
A curious and diligent designer who possesses a sharp analytical mind, which, when paired with strong creative problem-solving skills, results in surprising, innovative solutions and fluent synthesising of complex information for a range of audiences.
Influenced by 20th century design movements including art deco, bauhaus & post-modern, my graphic design style is characterised by a fusing of elegance with a touch of playfulness.
In other words:
Utilising my strengths in both critical analysis & creativity, I am determined to fuse my passions for design and the environment, to design a better planet (cheesy though it may sound). In keeping with the words of the Massimo Vignelli, who said, "If you can design one thing, you can design everything”, I have dabbled in different design disciplines since childhood. Granted, don't trust me to keep a building standing, but, I'll take a shot at just about anything else. At 12 years of age, I directed my family home’s renovation and was adamant I would become an interior designer. But, graphic design soon took precedence. In the end, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy & Management; however, my passion for design remained unshakeable.
More recently, I have found a distinct appreciation for translating the five senses into each other, with music often being my inspiration - particularly for graphic design. You’ll find several Synesthesia projects here, including this one.
