The Brief:
As part of a six-week internship with Ocean Uprise x Parley for the Oceans, each intern was tasked with creating and implementing an individual impact project which involved our local community in an activity that promotes efforts to improve the health of our oceans.

The Result:
By bringing the classroom to the shore, through a fun & free limbo competition, approximately fifty total strangers on Adelaide’s Henley Beach were able to learn about sea level rise in an approachable, positive way.
More importantly, participants walked away empowered with more tools to join the efforts to mitigate sea level rise in their community and beyond.
Using research & knowledge from my degree in Environmental Policy & Management, I designed two infographic posters, and used the limbo levels to display SLR projections for locations across the world. All designs were completed by me, inspired by vintage travel visual identities of tropical islands - the places most at risk. Poster boards were biodegradable, printed with latex ink.
1st prize was a free ticket to a local Dolphin Sanctuary & Mangroves Kayak Tour, to learn more about mangroves’ role in SLR mitigation, while 2nd & 3rd prizes were gelato & coffee vouchers generously donated by two businesses at Henley Beach; Bottega Gelateria and Malobo Coffee.
My project was also featured on Oceans Uprise’s Instagram.
