Conceptualising a brand that embodies the soulful, honest ones I aim to design for, I developed a full brand identity that features branding, packaging, an e-commerce website, and signage; all of which are built upon a set of photographs (of my personal collection of objects), that take inspiration from the visual arrangements and vibrancy of Renaissance oil paintings. Gestures such as the thank-you card & styling guide, encased in vellum, reflect the thoughtfulness and tactility important to the brand; while the quiet, detail-driven visual identity, in which even a semi-colon embedded in the wordmark invites its reader to a small pause, reinforces the brand’s core belief in slow, contemplative curation of decorative objects over time.
This is carried through to the store’s website, where the option to select ‘focus view’ allows the customer the chance to fully admire one object at a time without the typical busy, loud e-commerce experience.
